About the Project

User Interface Design GmbH (UID) is a leading UX and interface design consultancy in Germany with international reach.
As part of my 6-month internship in the Software Engineering department, I worked on diverse projects spanning desktop, web, and cloud-based technologies. This included rebranding existing applications, building interactive UI components, and presenting new frameworks through internal showcases.

My Role

  • Software Engineering Intern (Aug 2021 – Jan 2022)
  • Worked in cross-functional teams on frontend, backend, and integration tasks
  • Delivered solutions across WPF, Angular, Blazor, and ASP.NET ecosystems

Highlights

  • WPF Development: Rebranded UI for an international elevator manufacturer; styled standard controls and created custom components for an Apothekenmanagementsystem style guide
  • Azure & ASP.NET: Connected an ASP.NET backend to an Angular client via Azure Active Directory using OpenID Connect authentication
  • Blazor (5.0 & 6.0): Built a showcase demo with REST API integration, SignalR messaging, and JavaScript interoperability; presented results internally
  • Angular 12: Created two responsive microsites with interactive UI components in collaboration with designers
  • Collaboration: Used GitLab for version control, agile team processes, and worked effectively both onsite and remotely
