MILAGE LEARN+
About the Project
MILAGE LEARN+ is a mobile application created at the University of Algarve to support education inside and outside the classroom.
It provides students with access to educational content and helps teachers manage their classroom time more effectively.
The app integrates gamification, exercise resolution videos, self-assessment schemes, and peer review to cater to students with varying levels of proficiency.
My Role
- Joined as a voluntary intern in software engineering (Sep 2022 – Jan 2023)
- Continued in a freelance capacity until Jul 2024
- Focused on frontend development, testing, and backend integration
- Actively contributed to product growth and long-term stability
Highlights
- Developed, tested, and optimized app components with Vue.js 3 and Ionic
- Built user interfaces with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and HTML
- Extended the stack with Django for backend development and Playwright for end-to-end testing
- Managed collaboration and code reviews with GitHub
- Designed and refined frontend architectures for performance and usability
- Researched and integrated new technologies and best practices
- Collaborated with team members in agile processes (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
